Slab Foundation Repair

How do you know that my slab foundation needs repair?

Our trained foundation specialists are ready and able to fix all types of foundations, whether that be a concrete slab or conventional foundation.

For slab foundations, we have a leveling device that can measure how much a slab has sunk into (or heaved with) the soil movement. This gives us the information we need to create a custom plan to fix your home’s foundation.

Do you warranty your slab foundation repair work?

Yes, we provide a warranty for our foundation repair work.

The biggest benefit is that the warranty is for the ADDRESS of the home, not the specific customer we served. So if you ever sell your home, you can relay this benefit to the potential home buyer.

Water Management

Seriously, a foundation repair company has an entire service dedicated to French drains?

Yup, it’s true (and vital!) as water is the root cause of most foundation damage. Installing deep French drains can resolve underlying foundation problems AND prevent future damage.

For many of the water management issues we fix, no repair work is required for the foundation itself. We install a drain to divert water away from the soil under your home, and this minimizes the chances for swelling or shrinking of the clay under your foundation.

Does Superior have a fee for diagnosing water management issues?

Nope, estimates are free!

We will work with you to set up a convenient time to come to your home, review your foundation or water management issue with you, and then send a summary with recommended repairs.

All at no expense to you.

My landscaper can install a French drain for less money. Why would I choose Superior's solution?

Landscapers install excellent French drains for keeping your grass alive, but they are rarely deep enough to divert underground water away from your foundation.

Our French drains are installed so that we can prevent water from getting under your foundation. Since water is what causes the clay to swell and shrink, controlling where it can go is crucial to safeguarding your home against foundation issues.

I called you for foundation issues, and you talked to me about water. What gives?

The soil under every home or building has a different water table underneath it (the level below the ground that is saturated with water). Depending on where you live, it’s very likely that there’s water below the ground that you cannot see that is causing damage to your foundation. We dig until we find water, and then divert that water away from your foundation to minimize the risk of future damage.

New Construction

What technology solutions do yall offer for new building construction?

We offer two main types of new building foundation solutions:

  • Post-Tension cables – an industry staple that reinforces your concrete slab in Central Mississippi’s unstable soil.
  • Helical piers –  a premium solution that anchors your home’s foundation to load bearing strata.

Both are excellent options for protecting your foundation, with the helical piers being the best solution our industry has to offer.

Should I hear "expensive" when you say helical piers are are "premium"?

Yes and no.

Yes, this hardware is an additional expense to consider when weighing your options for new building construction..

BUT

No, it’s not going to drastically increase the cost of your build. In fact, this product may save you money while preparing your lot for construction by not having to excavate, backfill, and compact ‘good’ dirt into the build site. Our team can help you assess if this product is a good fit for your project.

Won't helical pier installation cause my home build to take longer than normal?

Not at all.

We work seamlessly with these subcontractor groups to ensure no additional downtime is incurred on your build project. This means less headache and oversight required from you, and your project stays on track.

Do you warranty your new construction work as well?

Absolutely. Our helical piers are backed with a 10-year warranty, which is for the address – not just the customer – so if a homeowner sells their house, the warranty will transfer to the new owner.
